Kayaking is a water activity that uses a kayak to move in the water. It can be
in the sea, lake, river or mangrove. To move the kayak, one has to use a paddle
to move and control the kayak.
There are two types of kayak. Sit-in and sit-on-top. Sit-on-top kayak basically has a open cockpit compares to the sit-in, a close corkpit. Most recreation kayak has double or triple seats. |
Mangrove Kayaking

Among all forms of kayaking, mangrove kayaking is the most relax & leisure.
It doesn't required much energy to paddle as most of the mangrove are calm
in nature. People do mangrove kayaking mostly because the places cannot be
access by others form of transport, like some caves, lagoon in the mangrove.
Most of the time a mangrove kayaking trip can takes up to 2 to 4 hours, some even longer. It can be combine with others activities like exploring caves in the mangrove. |

Sea Kayaking

Sea kayaking also sometimes called ocean kayaking is an activity in sea and lakes.
The trip can be few hours to few days. The longer ones are Sea Kayaking Expedition,
normally the kayaker will bring along camping equipment and food. They will stop
by a island before continue to the others. This requires stamina & fitness.
Recreation Sea Kayaking is less taxing but it still requires stamina to paddle against the current. Most recreation trip take half a day either paddling along the island or across another nearby island. |

White Water Kayaking

White Water Kayaking is a sport of paddling a kayak on a white water river.
It can be range from a simple grade I river to the dangerous grade V river.
Among all the kayaking activities, White Water Kayaking is the most difficult. Not only it need stamina and fitness, but it requires special training & skill too. Due to this not many White Water Kayaking recreation trip. |
